Position: Mixing/ Oven Operative (Toasting Line)
Location: Bradford BD4 6RX
Job Type: Temp to Perm, Full-time
Salary: £12.82 per hour - first 3 months, and £13.62 after 3 months.
Shift Pattern: 4on/4off
Experience Required: Operating machinery in production environment
About the Role:
We are seeking a reliable Mixing/Oven Operative to join our client's toasting line team. The role involves operating an industrial tunnel oven, where bread and other bakery products are automatically conveyed through the production line for toasting. Responsibilities include mixing products and ingredients to specification, monitoring the production process, and ensuring products are toasted to the required quality standards while maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
You will be responsible for monitoring the flow of products on the conveyor, checking toasting quality, adjusting settings when required, and keeping the area safe and clean.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor the industrial tunnel oven
- Ensure products move smoothly along the conveyor line
- Check toasting quality and adjust temperature or speed as instructed
- Report any issues or faults to the supervisor
- Follow food hygiene, safety, and quality procedures
- Maintain a clean and organised work area
- Work collaboratively with the production team to meet daily targets
Requirements
- Previous experience in Mixing or operating an Oven in Food production
- Ability to work in a warm production environment
- Good attention to detail and quality standards
- Ability to follow instructions
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
