Lil’ Nashville is Coming to Bristol!
Our legendary bar and restaurant Lil’ Nashville is coming to Bristol this October, and we're on the hunt for enthusiastic kitchen team members to join our opening kitchen team.We're looking to build a fantastic opening team of people who are passionate about great food, enjoy working as part of a busy kitchen team and take pride in what they do. Whether you're an experienced CDP, a Commis Chef or looking to develop your kitchen skills, we'd love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing and cooking food to the required standards, following recipes and portion guidelines
- Supporting the kitchen team during busy services and ensuring food is delivered consistently and on time
- Assisting with preparation and mise en place across the kitchen
- Supporting the preparation and cooking of our Southern BBQ dishes
- Maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation and consistency
- Following all food safety, hygiene and allergen procedures
- Keeping kitchen areas clean, organised and well presented throughout service
- Correctly storing, labelling and rotating food products
- Supporting with deliveries, stock rotation and waste management
- Working closely with the wider kitchen team to ensure smooth service
- Supporting opening and closing duties as required
Qualities:
- Previous kitchen experience is desired, but we're happy to hear from chefs at different stages of their careers
- A genuine passion for great food and Southern BBQ
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while remaining calm and maintaining attention to detail
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team
- Takes pride in cleanliness, organisation and maintaining high standards
Passion for Country Music: as we are a live music venue, an appreciation for country music and the culture surrounding it is essential
Experience with Southern BBQ and commercial smokers is an advantage, but not essential. We're equally interested in people with a genuine passion for low-and-slow BBQ who are excited to learn and develop their skills.
