Summary
We are seeking a skilled Steel Erector and Fitter to join our dynamic team in the UK. This role is vital in assembling and installing fabricated steel structures on-site, ensuring safety and precision. The successful candidate will contribute to our mission of providing top-tier fabrication services.
Responsibilities
- Interpret engineering drawings and schematics to accurately assemble steel structures.
- Erect and install structural steel components on construction sites.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes.
- Operate hand tools and power tools efficiently to complete tasks.
- Collaborate with project managers and other trades to meet project deadlines.
- Conduct quality checks on installed structures to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
- Assist in the loading and unloading of materials as needed.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Steel Erector or Fitter in structural steel fabrication.
- Strong knowledge of reading schematics and engineering drawings.
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in construction.
- Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Relevant certifications such as CSCS card or equivalent are preferred.
- Physical fitness to perform manual handling tasks.
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to steel erection.
