Job Summary

Duties
- Thoroughly clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, work surfaces, and floors to uphold health and safety standards
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, or portioning ingredients under supervision
- Support the culinary team by restocking supplies and ensuring all kitchen stations are organized and ready for service
- Dispose of waste responsibly, following proper recycling procedures and maintaining a tidy workspace
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, service stations, and back-of-house spaces to ensure a welcoming environment for staff and guests
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Assist with setting up and clearing away during meal service to support smooth restaurant operations
Skills
- Strong understanding of food preparation techniques and kitchen hygiene practices
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel setting is highly desirable
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures specific to hospitality environments
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
- Good communication skills to coordinate with kitchen staff and management effectively
