Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lift Supervisor to oversee lifting operations on construction sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant lifting activities, coordinating with team members, and maintaining high standards of safety and communication throughout all operations. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate all lifting activities on-site, ensuring compliance with safety standards and project specifications.
- Oversee the operation of lifting equipment, including cranes and hoists, ensuring proper use and maintenance.
- Communicate effectively with construction teams, drivers, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth operations.
- Conduct risk assessments prior to lifting operations and implement appropriate safety measures.
- Ensure all lifting activities are documented accurately in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Provide guidance and support to lift operators and other personnel involved in lifting tasks.
- Monitor the condition of lifting equipment and report any faults or issues immediately.
- Enforce health and safety protocols at all times, promoting a culture of safety awareness among staff.
Skills
- Proven experience in construction or related industries, with specific knowledge of lifting operations.
- Excellent communication skills in English, capable of conveying instructions clearly and effectively.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Valid driving licence with the ability to operate company vehicles if required.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Leadership qualities with the capacity to supervise teams confidently and professionally.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to lifting operations is highly desirable.
