Senior Care Assistant - Days
Maesyfelin Care Home is looking for caring, reliable, and motivated individuals to join our dedicated team. We provide person-centred support within a warm and welcoming environment, helping residents live with dignity, purpose, and comfort every day.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced carer who is looking to progress within a supportive and professional care setting.
Key responsibilities
- Support residents with daily living tasks, including personal care, dressing, and mobility
- Encourage and assist residents to take part in meaningful activities and daily routines that promote wellbeing
- Deliver care in line with individual care plans
- Provide reassurance, companionship, and emotional support to residents, including those living with dementia
- Accurately update care records using our digital Care Docs system on iPads
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, visiting professionals, and family members
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and safety throughout the home
- Contribute positively to a friendly, respectful, and inclusive team culture
Skills and qualities
- Previous care experience is preferred but not essential, as full training and support will be provided for the right candidate
- Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification preferred
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic IT skills to support digital record keeping
- A patient, respectful, and compassionate approach
- Ability to work well within a team and use initiative when required
- A genuine passion for supporting older adults
- DBS transferable or update service (if this is in place immediate start available for the right candidate)
Additional Information
- A transferable DBS or DBS Update Service is preferred, however we can support successful candidates with completing a new DBS application
