Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Gardener to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a passion for horticulture and a good understanding of landscape maintenance. This role involves working with various hand and power tools, if you are not familiar with the equipment, all training will be provided.
Duties
- Maintain and cultivate garden areas, including grass cutting, hedge and shrub cutting, powerwashing
- Polytunnel work such as potting on, weeding, cutting back plants and watering
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
- Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of plants
- Monitor plant health and growth, identifying any issues that may arise
- Assist in landscape maintenance tasks such as mulching, edging, and lawn care
- Collaborate with team members to design and implement garden layouts
- Keep work areas clean and organised, ensuring all equipment is properly stored
Qualifications
- Experience in gardening or horticulture is highly desirable but not essential
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and irrigation systems
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Excellent attention to detail and a passion for maintaining beautiful landscapes
- Good physical fitness, as the role requires lifting, bending, and prolonged periods of standing
