Registered Manager – Children's Residential Home (EBD)

Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Our client is an established provider of children's residential care with an existing Ofsted-regulated EBD home in Northampton. Due to continued growth and ambitious expansion plans, they are seeking an experienced Registered Manager to join their team.

The Role
As Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership and management of the children's home, ensuring high standards of care, regulatory compliance, and positive outcomes for the young people in your care.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day operation of the Ofsted-regulated children's home.
- Ensure compliance with the Children's Homes Regulations, Quality Standards and safeguarding legislation.
- Deliver high-quality, child-centred care that promotes positive outcomes.
- Recruit, lead, motivate and develop a dedicated staff team.
- Oversee care planning, behaviour management, safeguarding and risk assessments.
- Maintain excellent relationships with local authorities, families and partner agencies.
- Monitor quality assurance systems and implement continuous improvements.
- Manage budgets, staffing levels and operational performance.
- Prepare for and lead Ofsted inspections.
About You
Our client is looking for someone who has:
- Experience working within an Ofsted-regulated children's residential home.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or currently working towards completion).
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- A genuine passion for improving the lives of children and young people.
- A full UK driving licence.
Deputy Managers Welcome
If you are currently an experienced Deputy Manager with a proven track record of supporting the successful running of an Ofsted-regulated children's home and are ready to progress into your first Registered Manager role, our client would be keen to hear from you.
