We are seeking an experienced, innovative, and forward-thinking registered health care professional to join our team in a role that integrates medicines and clinical knowledge with digital transformation. Positioned at the interface between clinical practice and digital services, this role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the development, implementation, and optimisation of digital medicines systems across the organisation.
The postholder will work collaboratively with clinical teams and multidisciplinary digital services colleagues, including Software Development, Project Delivery, Change Management, IT Training, and Clinical Safety teams, to support the safe, effective, and user-centred implementation of digital medicines solutions. The successful candidate will act as a digital medicines expert, championing best practice, driving service improvement, and ensuring digital systems enhance both patient care and clinical workflow.
The post holder will provide specialist expertise in the development, configuration, testing and optimisation of electronic prescribing and medicines administration (ePMA) systems.
The role will support the delivery of safe, effective and efficient digital medicines services by undertaking system configuration, validation, testing and user support activities, ensuring systems are aligned to clinical workflows, medicines policy and safety standards.
Working as part of the Digital Medicines Team, the post holder will contribute to system improvements, upgrades and deployments, supporting service development and ensuring compliance with clinical safety standards (DCB0129/DCB0160).
The post holder will act as a subject matter expert for digital medicines systems, providing advice, support and training to clinical and operational staff, and contributing to the continuous improvement of digital medicines services.
There will be a requirement to maintain a level of clinical practice within their area of professional registration

Works as a specialist within the Digital Medicines Team supporting Trust-wide systems
Contributes to configuration, testing and optimisation of ePMA systems used across multiple clinical areas
Supports delivery of system upgrades, enhancements and service improvements
Works with clinicians, pharmacy, nursing and digital teams to support system use and development
Contributes to maintaining compliance with governance and safety standards
