We are looking for a motivated and experierenced qualified Air Conditioning and HVAC engineer to join our expanding team. This is a varied role where no two days are the same, working across both commercial and domestic properties.
The Role
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on air conditioning, HVAC, heat pump and ventilation systems.
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs on a wide range of equipment.
- Attending emergency breakdown call-outs and responding promptly to customer needs.
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving to identify the most effective repair solutions.
- Installing commercial and domestic air conditioning systems of varying sizes, from single split systems to larger multi-split and VRF/VRV installations.
- Installing and servicing ventilation systems and heat pumps.
- Commissioning new installations and ensuring systems are operating efficiently.
- Completing service reports, job sheets and certification accurately.
- Providing excellent customer service and maintaining a professional attitude on site.
- Working independently as well as alongside other engineers when required.
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with current regulations and company procedures.
Essential Requirements
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration (or equivalent).
- Valid F-Gas Category 1 certification.
- Proven experience in servicing, maintaining and installing air conditioning and HVAC systems.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- A positive, reliable and professional approach.
Desirable (but not essential)
- Experience with heat pumps and ventilation systems.
- Electrical qualifications (18th Edition).
- IPAF and PASMA certifications.
- CSCS card.
