Level 3 Hairdressing Apprentice / Junior Stylist
Lilys Hair Salon – Diss, Norfolk
We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and motivated Level 2 qualified hairdresser to join our team at Lilys Hair Salon while working towards their Level 3 Hairdressing qualification.
We are ideally looking for someone who has recently completed, or is close to completing, their NVQ Level 2 in Hairdressing and is ready to take the next step in their career within a busy, professional salon environment.
This would be a fantastic opportunity for someone who already has a good foundation in hairdressing but would like to continue their education, develop their confidence behind the chair and work towards becoming a successful stylist.
The role
As part of the Lilys team, you will continue your training alongside gaining valuable hands-on salon experience. Your role will include:
- Working towards your Level 3 Hairdressing qualification
- Assisting and working alongside our experienced stylists
- Developing your cutting, colouring, styling and consultation skills
- Working with clients and gradually developing your own column
- Shampooing, blow-drying and assisting with colour services
- Learning about professional products, retail and client aftercare
- Helping maintain the high standards and presentation of the salon
- Taking part in ongoing salon education and training
Who we're looking for
We would love to hear from you if you:
- Have completed, or are currently completing, NVQ Level 2 Hairdressing or an equivalent qualification
- Would like to progress onto Level 3 Hairdressing
- Are passionate about hair and genuinely want to build a long-term career in the industry
- Are friendly, professional and confident communicating with clients
- Have a positive attitude and are keen to learn
- Have good attention to detail and take pride in your work
- Enjoy working as part of a team
- Are reliable, well presented and motivated to develop your skills

We work with professional brands including Davines and offer a wide range of cutting, colouring and specialist services. Education and progression are really important to us, and we want to help the right person develop from a Level 2 hairdresser into a confident and successful stylist.
