Job Summary
We are an Exhaust manufacturer within the automotive industry, we are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Sales and Administration Assistant to support our sales team and administrative functions. This role involves taking sales orders, calling customers, managing customer relationships, maintaining accurate records, and providing essential administrative support to ensure smooth business operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, excellent communication abilities, and proficiency in various computer software programmes. This position offers an opportunity to develop valuable skills within a dynamic and growing organisation.
Duties
- Assist with sales administration tasks, including processing orders and updating customer records using Sage software.
- Maintain and update databases such as Sage and Microsoft Excel to ensure data accuracy.
- Prepare reports using Microsoft Word/Excel for internal meetings and client updates.
- Manage correspondence via Microsoft Outlook, scheduling calls and responding to customer enquiries promptly.
- Support the sales team with administrative duties such as filing, data entry, and document management.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client queries professionally and efficiently.
- Organise schedules, and ensure timely follow-up on sales leads or client requests.
- Contribute to organisational improvements by suggesting efficient processes for sales administration workflows.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sales and administration or general administrative roles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience with CRM software; familiarity with Sage is advantageous.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Good computer literacy with a solid understanding of IT systems relevant to office administration.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team with effective time management skills.
- Previous experience in customer service is desirable but not essential. This role requires a motivated individual who is organised, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute positively to our team’s success.
Pay: £25,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
