Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team as a Self Employed Worker. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while delivering goods to various locations. 3D Trans Limited are a family owned transport company with a difference, we are passionate about the service we offer our customers and support to our staff and contractors which enables us to offer high levels of service to our growing customer base.
Role Profile:
- C+E Driver
- 35 hours CPC required
- Container experience preferred
Duties
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Load and unload cargo on some deliveries, and ensuring proper securing of items for safe transport.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required by company policies.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving on public roads.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during all operations.
Skills
- Valid commercial driving licence (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy loads as required.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in deliveries and documentation.
