c£45,000FTE Actual take home pay - c£19,900 depending on experience.
Part Time Hours – 20 hours per week spread over 4 days.
Please note, this is a term time + 3 weeks role and is fully office based.
We are delighted to be supporting our client with recruiting an HR & Payroll Assistant to support their education setting with all operational HR duties.
Reporting into the Bursar, this role will take the lead on the day to day HR, compliance and the payroll for the organisation.
The role would suit a competent and experienced HR generalist who is happy working in a standalone capacity.
Role Duties:
- Manage all HR administration, including employment contracts, HR policies, and personnel records.
- Coordinate recruitment and onboarding in partnership with hiring managers.
- Ensure compliance with Safer Recruitment requirements, including pre-employment checks and DBS applications.
- Maintain and update the Staff Handbook, training records, and mandatory training schedules.
- Arrange staff and governor training and monitor compliance.
- Produce monthly headcount reports and manage the support staff holiday booking system.
- Responsible for all compliance for the organisation
- Prepare and update payroll information in preparation for the 3rd party payroll provider
- Manage the pension and benefits schemes
Candidate Requirements:
- Ideally CIPD Level 3 qualified
- HR experience, ideally a minimum of 3+ years.
- Education experience strongly preferred but other industries will be considered.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills required, including strong Excel skills
- Experience of working in a busy and demanding environment.
- Confident to work with all levels of staff.
- Strong team player with a high level of professionalism.
