Duties
- Prepare, analyze, and maintain financial statements and reports using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms.
- Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors and suppliers.
- Oversee financial accounting activities including ledger management, reconciliations, and month-end closing procedures.
- Support financial management initiatives by assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Mentor junior team members by providing guidance on accounting best practices and software utilization.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies through diligent record-keeping and audits.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams within the organization to streamline financial workflows and improve reporting accuracy.
Experience
- Proven experience working as an Accountant in a fast-paced environment, preferably within the financial services sector.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or PeopleSoft is essential.
- Demonstrated expertise in financial management, including accounts payable, receivables, and general ledger activities.
- Experience with financial reporting standards and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Ability to mentor colleagues and foster a collaborative team environment.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in all work performed.
- Prior experience supporting or implementing new accounting systems or processes is a plus.

Pay: £25,420.00-£59,186.26 per year
