Open Bakery is looking for a pâtissier/pastry chef to become part of a dedicated team making high quality patisserie in our well-established independent bakery.
We are look for a pastry chef who takes pride in their work. Our bakers and kitchen teams make food to consistently high standards. We are looking for someone who:

Open Bakery produces high quality artisan food––bread, patisserie, and savoury––with an honest and transparent approach. We are part of a vibrant local community and have a close bond with our customers. The care we take in our food is reflected in the way we prepare our food, through to the way we treat our staff and care for our customers.
Experience as baker or pastry chef is advantageous. Qualifications or experience in the food industry are required. Training will be given until fully competent in patisserie production.
This position would be ideal for:
- someone with the necessary qualities looking to attain or further their pastry skills, or
- a more experienced pastry chef/baker looking for a new career opportunity.
Wages are paid hourly, with approximately 40-45hrs/week, work shifts will include Saturdays and occasional Sunday with a mix of early morning starts (3am-11am) and daytime shifts. A higher hourly rate for early mornings and for Sundays.
