Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Labourer specialised in the stone trade to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with various masonry and building tasks, ensuring high standards of safety and quality. The position is paid and suitable for individuals with a background in masonry, bricklaying, or related trades.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with the handling and positioning of stone materials on-site
- Operating hand tools such as chisels, hammers, and trowels to shape and finish stonework
- Using power tools safely for cutting, grinding, and drilling stone or other building materials
- Supporting bricklaying and masonry activities according to project specifications
- Performing basic carpentry tasks related to formwork or temporary structures
- Assisting with roofing tasks that involve stone or similar materials when required
- Supporting welding activities for metal fixtures or reinforcement as needed
- Maintaining a clean and organised work environment to promote safety and efficiency
- Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times during operations
Skills
- Experience in the stone trade or masonry work
- Proficiency with hand tools such as chisels, hammers, and trowels
- Experience using power tools for cutting, grinding, and drilling stone or similar materials
Pay: £15.00-£20.00 per hour
