About the role
We are looking to recruit two Relief Facility Assistants to join the current facilities team, working across Ceredigion County Council’s Direct Services residential care homes. These posts will provide additional flexible capacity to support the service during periods of sickness, annual leave, training and short-term operational pressures.
You will help ensure that the homes remain safe, clean and well maintained for residents, staff and visitors. Duties will include routine maintenance, environmental checks, health and safety tasks, fire and equipment checks, and other practical duties to support the day-to-day operation of the homes.
We are looking for reliable, flexible and practical individuals with good communication skills, the ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a team, and a commitment to maintaining a high-quality environment. Previous experience in a similar practical role, a full and valid UK driving licence, and access to a vehicle or transport for business travel are essential.
This role requires an enhanced DBS check. Welsh language skills are desirable, and the successful candidate will be expected to develop the required Welsh language levels within two years of appointment.
