We are now looking for a motivated, emotionally intelligent Deputy Manager to join our leadership team. This is an opportunity to step into a meaningful leadership role where you can genuinely influence practice, culture, and outcomes.
About the Role
As Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of the service. You will play a key role in maintaining high standards, supporting staff development, and ensuring care is consistently safe, effective, and person-centred. This will be for a service for 7 individuals with Complex needs

What You’ll Be Doing Leadership & Team Development
- Support and lead a dedicated staff team, promoting a positive, professional, and supportive culture
- Model DBT-informed leadership, including emotional regulation, reflective practice, and non-judgemental communication
- Deliver supervisions, team meetings, and reflective debriefs that genuinely develop staff confidence and capability
- Take the lead on shifts and deputise in the absence of the Registered Manager
Operational Oversight
- Support care planning, risk assessments, and reviews—ensuring they are meaningful, person-centred, and regularly updated
- Assist with rota management to maintain safe and effective staffing levels
- Oversee key areas such as medication, safeguarding, incidents, and health appointments
- Ensure the service remains structured, safe, and nurturing at all times
Quality & Compliance
- Support compliance with CQC standards and Key Lines of Enquiry (KLOEs)
- Carry out audits and quality checks to maintain high standards across the service
- Contribute to service improvement plans and continuous development
- Ensure policies around safeguarding, health & safety, and GDPR are consistently followed
Culture & Practice
- Champion a trauma-informed approach across the service
- Help embed DBT principles into everyday practice—not just theory
- Be a visible, hands-on leader who supports both staff and residents
- Encourage learning, growth, and reflective thinking within the team
Partnership Working
- Build positive relationships with families, professionals, and external agencies
- Attend and contribute to reviews and multi-disciplinary meetings
- Represent Kinwood Care with professionalism, integrity, and compassion
What We’re Looking ForEssential
- NVQ Level 5 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of Autism, Learning Disabilities, and Mental Health
- Experience leading shifts and supporting staff teams
- Confident communication and organisational skills
- Enhanced DBS and Right to Work in the UK

Pay: £36,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
