Clearview Glaziers are a leading supplier and installers of high quality windows, doors, and glass products. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and professional Timber Fire Door Installer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and remedial works of fire rated timber doorsets.
This role requires a strong understanding of fire door compliance, installation standards, and a commitment to delivering high quality workmanship in line with current fire safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation of timber fire doors and fire rated doorsets to manufacturers' specifications.
- Carrying out remedial works, upgrades, and adjustments to existing fire doors.
- Installing and maintaining ironmongery including hinges, closers, seals, locks, and signage.
- Ensuring all works comply with relevant fire safety legislation and industry standards.
- Completing installation records, quality checks, and compliance documentation.
- Conducting site assessments and reporting defects or non-compliance issues.
- Working independently or as part of a team across multiple sites.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and professional working environment.
- Liaising professionally with clients, site managers, and other trades.
Requirements
- Proven experience installing timber fire doors and doorsets.
- Good knowledge of fire door regulations and compliance requirements.
- Competent in fitting fire-rated ironmongery and intumescent seals.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and installation specifications.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Excellent attention to detail and quality standards.
- Strong communication and problem solving skills.
