About Gullion Bakery
Gullion Bakery is an expanding artisan bakery based in Newry, supplying both our own retail stores and a growing wholesale customer base across the surrounding area.
Due to continued growth and the opening of our newest store, we're looking for an experienced Bakery Manager to join our production team and help lead the next stage of our expansion.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced baker or bakery supervisor looking to take ownership, develop a team, and play a key role in a growing family-run business where your contribution genuinely matters.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading daily bakery production across breads, pastries, and baked goods
- Managing workflow, organisation, and production schedules
- Maintaining high standards of quality, consistency, and food safety
- Supporting both retail and wholesale production requirements
- Training, mentoring, and developing bakery team members
- Monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering where required
- Helping drive efficiency while maintaining product quality
- Creating a positive, professional, and supportive working environment
What We're Looking For
- Previous bakery experience is essential
- Supervisory, leadership, or management experience is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of dough production, bread making, and bakery operations
- Experience with pastry or laminating processes would be beneficial
- Excellent communication and people-management skills
- Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, proactive, and committed to maintaining high standards
Hours & Pay
Tuesday - Saturday - Morning Shifts
Starting from £15.00+ per hour
Higher rate negotiable depending on experience and suitability.
