Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Alloy Wheel Refurbishment Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for restoring and refurbishing alloy wheels to a high standard, ensuring customer satisfaction through quality workmanship. Duties
- Prepare alloy wheels for refurbishment by cleaning, sanding, and masking as required
- Use specialised hand tools and power tools to remove old paint, corrosion, and damage from wheels
- Apply primers, paints, and finishes to achieve the desired colour and gloss levels
- Conduct quality checks to ensure all work meets company standards and customer expectations
- Perform heavy lifting of wheels and related materials safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace to promote safety and productivity
- Follow health and safety protocols at all times during refurbishment processes
- Assist in the maintenance of tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance
Experience
- Previous experience in automotive bodywork, wheel refurbishment, or similar technical roles is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for understanding the refurbishment process
- Proficiency with hand tools such as sanders, grinders, and brushes is preferred
- Experience with power tools used in surface preparation and finishing processes is beneficial
- Ability to undertake heavy lifting safely is essential
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work are vital attributes
