Support Worker
Location: Plymouth & surrounding areas
Hours: Part time and full time hours available
About the Role
We are seeking reliable, dedicated and motivated support workers to join our supported living services across Plymouth and the surrounding areas, supporting individuals with learning disabilities to live independently in their own homes.
Providing high-quality support across multiple services. This rewarding role involves supporting adults with a wide range of additional needs, including physical disabilities, learning disabilities, autism, sensory impairments, and complex support requirements.
Working across different services, no two days are the same. You will play a key role in promoting independence, choice, dignity, and inclusion through person-centred support tailored to each individual.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide person-centred support tailored to individual needs, preferences, and aspirations.
- Support individuals to access community activities, education, employment, and social opportunities.
- Promote independence, choice, dignity, and inclusion at all times.
- Work collaboratively with families, healthcare professionals, and colleagues.
- Adapt your approach to meet the varying needs of individuals across different services.
- Supporting individuals with daily living tasks, including personal care, meal preparation, medication support, and household activities
- Encouraging independence and supporting individuals to develop life skills
- Following individual support plans and risk assessments
- Maintaining accurate records and daily notes
- Working in line with safeguarding, health & safety, and organisational policies
About You
- A caring, patient, and respectful approach
- Previous experience supporting people with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, autism, or complex needs.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop
Requirements
- Right to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable due to working across multiple locations

Pay: £12.72-£18.00 per hour
