Role: Maintenance and Repair Worker
Working days and times: Mon- Fri 08.30 - 16.30
Location: Bradford, Keighley, Kirklees & Calderdale, Skipton & Harrogate
All applicants must have a van and own their own tools.
The role
In this role you will be responsible for maintenance and repair work including but not limited to; plumbing, joinery, flooring, as well as moving, assembling and dismantling furniture; removing and disposing of items and rubbish and the general upkeep of properties and grounds owned or managed by our client.
The role relies on you being able to work under your own initiative and with minimal supervision.
What we are looking for
- Experience of working with people who have a range of needs, such as drug or alcohol challenges, rough sleeping, mental health challenges and a history of offending.
- Previous employment in a property maintenance capacity or related field
- Understanding of the potential risks to health, safety and welfare encountered in maintenance work
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries
- Commitment to Equality & Diversity
- Valid driving licence
- Experience of carrying out a varied range of maintenance and repair work to a professional standard including plumbing (non-gas) & and joinery.
- Experience of boarding/replacing broken windows.
- Experience of painting and decorating work.
- Ability to work to deadlines and organise/prioritise workload.
- Skills to carry out maintenance jobs to a professional standard.
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Contract length: 3 months
Pay: £15.00 per hour
