Tea Room Supervisor (part-time, seasonal)

Job Description:
Firle Place is a stately home situated in Firle, near Lewes, East Sussex. The Firle Place Tea Room serves hot and cold drinks, light lunches, cakes and scones to our visitors.
We require a well-presented, reliable and energetic tea room supervisor with a friendly manner to work with and oversee a small team. High standards of hygiene and cleanliness are essential. Experience in a similar role is preferred.
Responsibilities include:-
- Providing a warm welcome and consistent excellent customer service
- Maintaining high standards of tea room and personal presentation, cleanliness and hygiene
- Preparation and serving of food and beverages, including using coffee machine
- Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety and Food Safety legislation
- Accurate record keeping
- Training, guiding and overseeing team members
- Ordering of supplies
- End of day cashing up
The Tea Room opens Sunday - Wednesday, 11.30am - 4.30pm from 3rd May until 28th October 2026.
- Job Type: Part-time
- Pay: £14.70 per hour
- Expected hours: 5 - 7 per day. Variable dependent on business.
- Work days: Up to four shifts per week including Sundays
- Work Location: In person. Due to our rural location, applicants will require own transport
