Responsibilities
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling according to breed standards and customer preferences
- Assess each dog’s coat condition and determine appropriate grooming techniques and products
- Handle dogs safely and compassionately, ensuring a positive experience for both pet and owner
- Maintain cleanliness of grooming tools, workstations, and bathing areas to uphold hygiene standards
- Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand grooming requests and provide recommendations for ongoing care
- Follow safety protocols diligently to prevent injuries to animals or staff during grooming procedures
Experience
- Demonstrated customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with pet owners
- Experience handling dogs of various sizes, temperaments, and breeds is preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling large or heavy dogs
- Passion for animal welfare combined with a keen eye for detail in grooming tasks
- Holding a level 2 and level 3 dog grooming qualification is preferred but not essential. training and qualifications can be provided at highly discounted rates!
