We're looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Assistant Manager to help lead one of our centres, supporting the Centre Manager in delivering outstanding dog care, developing a high-performing team and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the business.

As an Assistant Manager, you'll play a key role in supporting the successful operation of the centre. Working alongside the Centre Operations Manager, you'll help lead the team, maintain the highest standards of dog welfare, drive customer satisfaction and ensure the centre operates safely and efficiently.
This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same. You'll spend time with the dogs, support and coach your team, help manage daily operations and take ownership of the centre whenever required.
Supporting the Centre Operations Manager with the day-to-day running of the centre.
Leading by example, building strong relationships with every dog and ensuring exceptional standards of care and enrichment.
Coaching and supporting the centre team to deliver outstanding dog engagement, welfare and hygiene standards.
Monitoring dog behaviour and welfare, identifying any concerns and implementing appropriate support plans.
Helping ensure the centre is clean, safe and maintained to the highest standards, including fields, buildings and equipment.
Supporting customer bookings, new customer meetings and delivering exceptional customer service.
Assisting with employee planning, labour management and payroll administration.
Supporting recruitment, onboarding, inductions, performance management and colleague development.
Promoting a positive team culture, championing wellbeing and helping resolve team or customer issues professionally.
Ensuring compliance with licensing requirements, health and safety legislation, company policies and training standards.
Supporting centre marketing, customer retention initiatives and community engagement.
Assisting with budgets, labour costs and understanding the commercial performance of the centre.
Helping manage fleet compliance, procurement and operational logistics.
Taking responsibility for the centre in the absence of the Centre Manager.
We're looking for someone who is:
Passionate about dog welfare and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
An experienced supervisor or team leader with the confidence to motivate and develop others.
Organised, proactive and able to prioritise a busy and varied workload.
Calm under pressure with excellent problem-solving skills.
A confident communicator who enjoys building positive relationships with colleagues and customers.
Commercially aware with an understanding of operational performance and labour management.
Comfortable using technology and learning new systems.
Flexible and willing to take a hands-on approach whenever needed.
Previous experience in a leadership role within animal care, hospitality, retail, leisure or another customer-focused environment would be advantageous.
