Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and proactive Warehouse Operative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient handling of materials within our warehouse environment. This role involves various tasks including stock management, picking hire equipment for the deliveries, returning equipment after hire, loading and unloading of vans. Previous warehouse experience is preferred, along with a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and efficiency. The position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic logistics setting.
Responsibilities
- Handling materials efficiently, including loading and unloading goods from lorries and storage areas
- Managing stock levels using the warehouse management system to ensure accurate inventory records
- Picking, packing, and preparing orders for dispatch in accordance with company standards
- Organising stock in designated areas to optimise space utilisation and accessibility
- Conducting quality control checks to ensure products meet specified standards
- Performing mechanical checks on equipment and reporting any faults or maintenance needs
- Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed at all times during daily operations
Skills
- Proven experience is prefered but not essential as full training can be provieded
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems or willing to learn
- Strong understanding of documentations
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the shift
- Mechanical knowledge to assist with basic equipment maintenance or troubleshooting
- Attention to detail for picking & packing orders accurately and conducting quality control checks
- Organised approach to stocking, load & unload activities, ensuring safety protocols are adhered to at all times

Pay: £12.21-£19.22 per hour
