Kitchen Team Member – Food to Go
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am–2:00pm
Experience: Previous kitchen or food preparation experience is required
We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and experienced Kitchen Team Member to prepare fresh food for our in-store Food to Go offering.
The role involves preparing, cooking and presenting a variety of hot food and displaying in a hot holding uni while maintaining high standards of quality, cleanliness and food safety. The successful candidate should be comfortable working independently in a kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook and present food to a consistently high standard.
- Set up and maintain attractive, fully stocked Food to Go displays.
- Carry out daily preparation tasks, including chopping, mixing, portioning and cooking.
- Follow recipes, cooking instructions and portion guidelines accurately.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe kitchen area.

- Follow all food hygiene, allergen and health and safety procedures.
- Check dates, rotate stock and monitor ingredient levels.
- Assist with stock control and minimise food waste.
- Work efficiently during busy service periods.
- Contribute ideas to improve and develop the Food to Go range.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience working in a commercial kitchen, café, restaurant, bakery or catering environment.
- Previous food preparation and cooking experience.
- Good knowledge of food hygiene and food safety practices.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
- High standards of cleanliness, quality and presentation.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work well independently.
- A positive attitude and strong teamwork skills.
