Duties
- Offer personalized support to children and young people, encouraging their emotional and social development
- Assist with daily activities such as dressing, meal preparation, and recreational outings
- Implement tailored activities that promote learning, creativity, and skill-building
- Mentor children through positive reinforcement, active listening, and constructive feedback
- Collaborate with colleagues and families to develop individual care plans that meet each child's unique needs
- Support children during educational activities or teaching sessions to enhance their learning experience
- Maintain accurate records of progress, incidents, and daily routines to ensure consistent care delivery
Experience
- Previous experience working with children or in a caregiving role is highly desirable
- Child workforce DBS on update service
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build trusting relationships with children and families
- Ability to work proactively in a dynamic environment, managing multiple responsibilities effectively
