The Web Adventure Park is a family attraction, with a large indoor play area with café, an outdoor park, animal farm and over 13 rides. We also operate a large nursery on site. We welcome over 220k visitors a year, and we have two kiosks around the outside park to service the demand for excellent food.
The applicant must have high volume experience within these sectors and have a good understanding of customer service, managing and motivating large teams. Food service is central to our business, and we have a large kitchen team who produce freshly prepared food, and the applicant would ideally have experience dealing with quick service
Some weekends off and no late nights, service finishes at 6.00pm.
Excellent opportunities in the future and great benefits for the successful applicant.We are looking for an experienced and talented Head Chef to join the Web Adventure Park. The park is a fun, busy, fast paced relaxed environment you will look after the main restaurant onsite, two outside catering units and oversee the chefs to prepare the food for our onsite nursery.
A Kitchen Manager and established team is already in place, we just need someone to assist him with running the kitchen and food units. The park stops serving food at 6pm so you will have you evenings and some weekends off if your operation is covered.
The Role:
As the Head Chef your role will include:
Reporting and communicating to the Parks Management Team
Improving performance, staff retention and development of staff within the kitchens
Creating and enforcing working practices and company policies
Ensuring all health & safety, hygiene policies and procedures are adhered to.
Carry out in house audits to identify key areas of improvement and development.
Looking after the chefs to prepare a simple quick menu with great food quality.
Look after the nursery chef to prepare a rolling weekly nursery menu.
Develop key food lines to increase profit.
A strong understanding on how to maintain a GP target
Help the wider park operation when asked.
Creative and in touch with food trends
Willing to embrace new technology and offer ideas to generate cost savings in service and preparation.
Who we need
Head chef experience is absolutely necessary to assist the KM with stock takes, wage budgets, BFBB, Haccp etc
Must be extremely organised and be able to prioritise workload.
Communication is key both verbal and written.
A self-motivation person who can find solutions!
You must be able to delegate - your chefs will be vital to the success of your role. Help & support them to do their job.
