We're looking for a confident and collaborative professional with a strong understanding of the construction sector and a passion for creating social value.You will have substantial experience building and managing partnerships, bringing together a range of stakeholders to deliver shared goals and achieve positive outcomes for communities.With a proven track record in project, budget and people management, you will be comfortable leading complex programmes, using data and insight to drive performance and continuously improve service delivery.You will have experience securing funding, generating income and delivering or managing social value initiatives, alongside the ability to influence, motivate and challenge constructively when required.Working in a fast-paced and evolving environment, you will be adaptable, resilient and committed to delivering high-quality results through collaboration and strong leadership.Experience of business planning, impact reporting or managing events and campaigns would be advantageous, as would an understanding of planning obligations and Section 106 agreements.
In this role, you will connect developers, contractors, skills providers, local suppliers and residents to ensure construction investment in Stockport creates meaningful opportunities for local people and communities.
Leading a collaborative programme of work, you will broker relationships between employers and training providers, support residents into employment, and help local businesses access supply chain opportunities generated through major developments.
Working closely with Stockport Council, contractors and delivery partners, you will act as a one-stop-shop for developers seeking to meet their planning obligations and social value commitments, ensuring these translate into tangible outcomes.
Alongside programme delivery, you will drive business development, identify opportunities for growth, strengthen partnerships, and contribute insight and innovation to support the continued development of the One Stockport Construction Hub.
