Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance-Handyman/Handywoman to ensure the proper functioning and upkeep of our facilities.
The role is part time - 18hrs per week (Mon-Fri)
Rate of pay depends on experience
Role Involves:
- Carrying out any repairs and renewals including basic plumbing, electrics, painting and decoration etc to keep the Home in good working order.
- Undertaking regular testing on equipment to ensure it is all working correctly eg emergency lighting, fire alarms, water temperature testing.
- Maintaining the garden, keeping all areas neat and tidy, this includes plant and tree maintenance.
- Working with the team to keep the home in a good state of tidiness and repair.
- Good rapport with residents-assisting with moving in, arranging their furniture and repairs.
To do this we are looking for someone who:
- Is friendly and enthusiastic and works well in a team.
- Is practical and can demonstrate experience in basic maintenance skills.
- Is proactive in identifying work to be done to continue to maintain and upgrade the Home.
- Is supportive and flexible in meeting the dynamic needs in residential / nursing care.
References, DBS, right to work and immigration checks will be required.
