Teaching Assistant – Full-Time, Ongoing
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant to join a supportive college environment on a full-time, ongoing basis.
You will work alongside teaching staff to support learners across different areas of the college, helping to create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students individually, in small groups and within the classroom
- Assist teaching staff with lessons and classroom activities
- Support learners with ASD, ADHD, SEMH and challenging behaviours
- Encourage positive behaviour, communication, independence and social development
- Adapt support to meet individual learning needs
- Help maintain a safe and welcoming learning environment
This is a low-needs, whole-class-based role and PMLD experience is not required.
Hours:
Monday–Thursday: 08:30–16:30
Friday: 08:30–12:30
Duration: Ongoing
Full-time only – part-time applications cannot be considered.
Requirements:
- Experience supporting children or young people, ideally within education or care
- Experience with ASD, ADHD, SEMH and challenging behaviours
- Level 2 or equivalent in English and Maths
- Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service covering both children and adults
Pay: £17.00 per hour
