Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Dental Nurse to join our professional dental team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting dentists during procedures, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining high standards of hygiene and organisation within the practice. Duties
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring smooth workflow and patient safety
- Prepare treatment rooms with the necessary instruments and materials before appointments
- Provide patients with pre- and post-treatment care instructions, ensuring they are comfortable and well-informed
- Maintain strict hygiene standards by sterilising instruments and ensuring clinical areas are clean and organised
- Record patient information accurately using IT systems, including treatment notes and medical histories
- Manage appointment scheduling efficiently to optimise daily operations
- Support with administrative tasks such as stock control and ordering supplies
- Offer compassionate patient care, addressing concerns and providing reassurance throughout treatments
Requirements
- Proven experience in patient care within a dental or healthcare setting is preferred
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to explain procedures clearly to patients
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively in a busy environment
- Good IT literacy to operate practice management software and record patient data accurately
- Knowledge of nursing principles relevant to dental care is desirable
- Ability to work well within a team, demonstrating professionalism and empathy at all times
- Relevant qualifications in nursing or dental assistance are advantageous but not essential for internship positions
