About the Role
MCS Renovations is seeking an experienced Skilled Labourer / Multi-Skilled Operative to join our team on residential renovation, refurbishment and extension projects.
We are looking for someone practical, reliable and confident using hand and power tools. You must take pride in producing high-quality work, maintaining a safe and tidy site and supporting other trades effectively.
This position is due to start very soon, so applicants must be available for an immediate start.
Duties
- Assist with carpentry, roofing, brickwork, flooring and general building tasks.
- Complete basic installation, repair and finishing work where competent.
- Measure, cut and prepare materials accurately.
- Use hand and power tools safely and correctly.
- Work from drawings, instructions and project schedules.
- Support tradespeople to maintain an efficient workflow.
- Identify and report problems, defects or delays promptly.
- Protect customers’ properties and maintain a clean, organised site.
- Follow all MCS health and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a skilled labourer, builder’s assistant or multi-skilled operative.
- Good general knowledge of construction methods and materials.
- Confident and safe use of hand and power tools.
- Ability to complete tasks independently and follow instructions accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Reliable, punctual and comfortable working as part of a team.
- Professional and respectful when working in customers’ homes.
- Full, clean UK driving licence.
- Ability to commute to Epsom and surrounding areas each morning.
Experience with carpentry, roofing, brickwork, plumbing, electrical first-fix assistance, framing or residential extensions would be advantageous. Candidates must only undertake specialist or regulated work when appropriately qualified and authorised.
