Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Brick Layer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and restoring structures using bricks, concrete blocks, and other masonry materials. Your expertise will help bring architectural visions to life while ensuring safety, durability, and aesthetic appeal. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements
- Prepare work surfaces by leveling, cleaning, and setting up scaffolding or ladders as needed
- Use hand tools such as trowels, hammers, chisels, and levels to lay bricks accurately and efficiently
- Operate power tools including mixers, saws, and drills to facilitate construction tasks
- Mix mortar or concrete according to project specifications for bonding bricks securely
- Install bricks in various patterns while ensuring proper alignment and spacing for structural integrity
- Collaborate with carpenters, roofers, welders, and other trades to ensure seamless project execution
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing materials and disposing of debris safely
- Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries on site
Qualifications
- Proven experience in bricklaying, masonry, or related construction trades is preferred
- Proficiency with hand tools such as trowels, hammers, chisels, and levels is essential
- Familiarity with power tools used in masonry work including mixers and saws
- Basic knowledge of carpentry, roofing, welding, and general construction practices is a plus
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings accurately
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on precision and quality workmanship
- Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks including lifting heavy materials and working at heights when necessary
