Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide attentive service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using the point-of-sale system
- Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring presentation standards are met
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of tables, service stations, and dining areas
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
- Assist with food preparation when necessary, supporting kitchen staff as required
- Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities while catering to guest preferences
- Handle guest queries professionally, resolving issues promptly to ensure satisfaction
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to deliver efficient service
- Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming atmosphere for all guests
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is advantageous but not essential; enthusiasm for guest service is key
- Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation skills preferred
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tables simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour
- Basic maths skills for handling bills and transactions accurately
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Kitchen or culinary experience is a plus but not mandatory
- Demonstrated time management skills and attention to detail
