The Opportunity – Family Law Solicitor
Due to continued growth, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Family Law Solicitor to join our talented legal team. This is a fantastic opportunity to advance your career with a firm that consistently strives for excellence and client satisfaction.
You will become part of a diverse team of over 100 professionals, all driven by a shared passion for exceptional client care. McEwan Fraser Legal operates seven days a week to provide unrivalled service, and we are happy to consider both full-time and part-time flexible working arrangements to accommodate a healthy work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities:
- You will provide expert legal advice and representation in all aspects of family law, involving actions for divorce, separation agreements, and child law.
- You will have the opportunity to represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings.
- You will draft legal documents such as financial agreements, and child contact agreements, alongside various Court.
- You will maintain accurate records and manage case files efficiently.
- You will communicate clearly with clients, keeping them informed of case progress.
- You will collaborate with external professionals, such as social workers and financial advisors, and work proactively to secure positive client outcomes.
- You will stay current with developments in family law, and best practices.
Requirements:
To qualify for this role, you must:
- Be a qualified Solicitor with a valid practicing certificate.
- Have proven experience in family law within the Scottish legal system.
- Have strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases effectively.
- Have exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Be proficient in IT systems and legal software applications.
- Have a compassionate and professional approach to client care, with the ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy.
