Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Bartender to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent guest service skills and a passion for creating a welcoming atmosphere.
We are looking for someone who ideally has a passion for great beer, it would definitely be advantageous if you have a driving licence as we may require some shift support work or moving some inventory from one bar to another.
There will be many shifts were you will be working by yourself, so a positive attitude towards working solo would be great.
This role involves preparing and serving a variety of beverages, engaging with customers, and ensuring an enjoyable experience for all patrons. Previous experience in hospitality is highly desirable. The position offers an opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic environment dedicated to delivering exceptional service.
Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with standard recipes and customer preferences
- Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, providing excellent guest services
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards
- Take orders accurately, process payments, and handle cash or card transactions efficiently
- Restock bar supplies and monitor inventory levels to ensure smooth operation during shifts
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of events or special functions as required
- Ensure responsible alcohol service by monitoring guest consumption and adhering to licensing laws
- Collaborate with team members to create a lively and inviting atmosphere
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently, including proper handling of food and beverages
Requirements
- Proven experience in hospitality, including roles such as barista, server/server, or food service assistant
- Knowledge of responsible alcohol service practices
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage guests courteously
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple orders efficiently during busy periods
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, or special events as needed
- Familiarity with restaurant or hotel environments enhances suitability for this role
