Self-Employed Shutter Installer / Joiner

Job Type: Self-employed (2–5 days per week)
Pay: £200–£350 per day (depending on experience)
About Us
The Sunset Shutter Co. is a growing, family-run business specialising in the supply and installation of premium made-to-measure plantation shutters across Sheffield and the surrounding areas. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional workmanship and outstanding customer service, and we're looking for an experienced fitter to join our team.
The Role
We are looking for a reliable, skilled and professional installer to carry out the installation of bespoke plantation shutters in customers' homes.
You'll be representing our company, so we're looking for someone who takes real pride in their work, has excellent attention to detail and enjoys delivering a high-quality finish.
Previous shutter installation experience is preferred, but experienced joiners, carpenters, kitchen fitters, second-fix joiners and other skilled tradespeople are encouraged to apply.
There is also Potential for a fast learning confident Qualified collage leaver.
Essential Requirements
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Self-employed
- Proven experience in joinery, carpentry, kitchen fitting, shutter installation or a similar skilled trade
- Own hand tools
- Excellent attention to detail
- Professional, polite and trustworthy when working in customers' homes
- Able to work independently and solve problems on site
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling
- Reliable, punctual and well presented
Preferred Experience
- Shutter installation
- Second-fix joinery
- Interior finishing
- Measuring and fitting bespoke products
- Experience using a wide range of hand and power tools
