We are looking for a HR Assistant keen to build on their current experience who is organised, proactive and people focused, with a genuine interest in developing a career in HR, becoming a trusted and reliable member of the team.

The Role – Your Focus and Contribution
As a member of the HR team, you will be responsible for working on all areas of HR admin, reporting to and supporting our HR Manager - no two days will look the same and it is an opportunity to gain hands on experience across all areas of HR. Discretion and great communication verbally and in writing are key for this role, as is a keen eye for spreadsheets, and being confident and able to work independently. This is a prime role for you to make a difference, develop your skills and strengths, with a complete focus on our people, who are at the heart of our business and ongoing success.

Recruitment - coordinating the end to end process. Including preparing and posting job adverts, CV screening against agreed criteria, arranging interviews, candidate communication, references and preparing job offers.

Onboarding of new starters - admin and paperwork such as drawing up and issuing contracts and pre employment checks

Offboarding - following our leavers processes

Administration - maintain accurate employee records, HR systems, trackers and documentation, ensuring information is up to date

Probation review checkins, extension and pass letters

Providing company references, letters of employment etc

Assist with payroll preparation and admin

Keep employee hand book up to date as instructed

Assist with milestone celebrations - 5yr, 10yr etc

Elements of internal comms e.g. communication of policy changes

Support, assist with preparation and take minutes during HR meetings - e.g. flexible working, disciplinaries etc

Act as first point of contact for basic HR queries, escalating more complex or sensitive matters to the HR Manager

Reporting and auditing within HR

Support and assist HR Manager as needed

Support with and take on ad hoc HR projects and tasks as required
About You
We are looking for a highly organised individual, with an eye for detail, great self-management skills, someone is proud of what they do, keen to being on their current HR experience and progress, and has a people friendly approachable personality.

Salary - £24,785 - £25,500 dependent on experience
Contract type - Permanent
Hours - 9.30am - 5.00pm Monday to Friday, with a 4.30 informal early finish on Fridays!
