Customer Service Helpdesk Administrator (Temp to Perm)

ACR is working with a well-established and fast-growing business going through an exciting period of growth. We’re recruiting for a Customer Service Administrator to join the team at their Wigan head office.
This is a varied and fast-paced role within a friendly and supportive environment. You’ll be responsible for logging service and maintenance requests, coordinating with engineers, updating systems, and ensuring all customer jobs are handled efficiently and accurately.
The role offers excellent stability, on-the-job training, and the opportunity to progress within the business.
This is a temp-to-perm role, so you must be immediately available to apply.
Salary & Benefits
- £26,500 per annum (with annual pay reviews)
- Sunday-Thursday
- Hours: 8 AM - 3 PM Sunday & Monday–Thursday, 8 AM – 5 PM with a 1-hour lunch break (Every Friday & Saturday off)
- Overtime available paid at 1.5x salary

What will be expected of you:
- Take incoming calls from customers and log breakdowns on the internal database
- Manage service and maintenance requests, ensuring all jobs are logged accurately
- Allocate and dispatch jobs to engineers and track progress through to completion
- Update customer portals and spreadsheets daily (BP, Shell, Morrisons, MFG, etc.)
- Handle customer queries and complaints professionally and efficiently
- Order and chase parts for engineers, ensuring SLA deadlines are met
- Log damaged claims and manage customer complaint processes
- Support the wider Helpdesk and Sales teams with general administration

- Strong customer service experience, ideally within an office
- Confident using Microsoft Office
- Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail
- Positive attitude, energy, and willingness to learn
