Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Carer to join our vibrant residential care home team. This vital role offers the opportunity to lead compassionate care delivery, ensuring residents receive the highest standards of support and well-being. As a Senior Carer, you will play a key part in supervising care staff, developing personalized care plans, and fostering a warm, respectful environment where residents feel valued and cared for. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of care assistants, providing guidance and support to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality care
- Develop, review, and update individual care plans in collaboration with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Assist residents with daily activities such as personal hygiene, mobility, medication management, and meal preparation
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, incidents, and progress reports using IT systems efficiently
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure clear understanding of care needs and preferences
- Promote a safe environment by adhering to health and safety policies and conducting regular risk assessments
- Support the training and mentoring of junior staff members to foster leadership skills within the team
Qualifications
- Proven experience in senior or supervisory roles within a care home or similar setting
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team
- Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with residents, families, and colleagues
- Knowledge of care planning processes and ability to implement personalized care strategies
- Valid driving license preferred for transportation duties or errands related to resident needs
- Competency in using IT systems for documentation and communication purposes
- Relevant qualifications in health and social care (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) are highly desirable

Pay: £547.84-£1,010.02 per week
