Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and proactive SIA (Security Industry Authority) Licensed Door Supervisor to join our dynamic security team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and patrons, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment at our venue. Your primary responsibility will be to monitor access points, maintain order, and uphold safety standards through effective surveillance and loss prevention techniques. This position offers an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in creating a secure atmosphere while delivering excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Manage entry and exit points by checking identification and verifying credentials to ensure authorized access only
- Conduct thorough surveillance using CCTV systems to monitor activity within the premises and identify potential security threats
- Implement loss prevention strategies by observing suspicious behavior and intervening when necessary to prevent theft or vandalism
- Respond promptly to incidents or disturbances, coordinating with emergency services or law enforcement as needed
- Enforce venue policies, including age restrictions and dress codes, with professionalism and courtesy
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security checks for reporting purposes
- Provide first aid assistance in case of minor injuries or medical emergencies until professional help arrives
Qualifications
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor license with up-to-date certification
- Experience in security or surveillance roles is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Strong observational skills with the ability to detect suspicious activity through CCTV monitoring and on-site patrols
- Knowledge of loss prevention techniques and conflict resolution strategies
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations professionally
- Basic first aid certification is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly yet authoritative demeanor
