We are currently looking for a hardworking and reliable individual to join our Boat Yard Team as a Boat Yard Valeter. This role will focus on the cleaning, valeting, and general upkeep of leisure boats, along with supporting general boatyard duties.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
The main duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Boat cleaning and valeting to a high standard (interior and exterior)
- Preparing boats for customer use and presentation
- Basic checks on inboard and outboard engines
- Basic electrical checks on 12V systems
- General boat and equipment cleaning
- Yard maintenance and general housekeeping duties
- Assisting with general maintenance tasks as required
All duties will be carried out at our main workshop site on the Pityme Industrial Estate and within the Camel Estuary area. The successful candidate will enjoy working outdoors and as part of a small team.
Working Environment
Due to the nature of the role, the candidate will be required to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Working hours may vary during busy periods because of the seasonal nature of the business.
Working Hours: This role includes working every other Saturday on a rota basis. Time off in lieu will be provided and taken on the following Tuesday.
Annual Leave: Due to the seasonal nature of our business, annual leave will not normally be approved during our peak trading periods, including Easter, Whitsun, and July to August, except in exceptional circumstances.
