Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and proactive Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a genuine desire to support others and possess excellent communication skills. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care tailored to individual needs, ensuring comfort, safety, and dignity for those in your care.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents or clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and well-being.
- Support the development and implementation of personalized care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals and family members.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided, including observations related to health and behavior.
- Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and team members to ensure consistent and respectful care delivery.
- Assist with medication management as directed by healthcare professionals, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Support transportation needs by driving clients to appointments or activities when required.
- Contribute to creating a warm, safe, and welcoming environment that respects individual preferences and cultural backgrounds.
Experience
- Previous experience working in a care home or home care setting is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of care plans, health and safety regulations, and safeguarding procedures.
- Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to listen empathetically and convey information clearly.
- Basic IT skills for maintaining accurate documentation and records.
- Valid driving license preferred for roles involving transportation responsibilities.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: £13.45 per hour
Expected hours: 12.0 – 46.0 per week
