Job Overview
We are looking for reliable, hardworking and committed Farm Workers to join our poultry farming team.
This is a hands on role supporting the day-to-day running of a commercial poultry farm. You will play an important part in maintaining high standards of bird welfare, farm hygiene, biosecurity and health & safety, while helping to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the farm.
Previous poultry or livestock experience is desirable, but full training will be provided to the right candidates who have the right attitude and willingness to learn.
Your duties will include:
- Carrying out daily checks of poultry houses and monitoring bird health and welfare.
- Ensuring birds have access to feed and water.
- Identifying and reporting signs of illness, injury or unusual behaviour.
- Assisting with chick placements, brooding, thinning and depopulation.
- Supporting bird deliveries and collections.
- Monitoring feed, bedding and other farm supplies.
- Assisting with cleaning and preparation of poultry houses between flocks.
- Carrying out general farm maintenance and housekeeping.
- Operating farm equipment safely following appropriate training.
- Maintaining excellent biosecurity and hygiene standards.
- Completing farm records accurately.
- Following all company, animal welfare, health & safety and biosecurity procedures.
- Working closely with the wider farm team to ensure the farm operates efficiently.

Experience & Qualifications
Essential:
- Genuine interest in agriculture, farming or animal welfare.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work safely.
- Reliable and flexible approach to work.
- Physically capable of carrying out farm duties.
- Full UK driving licence, or reliable means of travelling to the farm location.
Desirable:
- Previous poultry or livestock experience.
- Experience working on a commercial farm.
- Knowledge of poultry production.
- Tractor or farm machinery experience.
- Telehandler experience or certification.
- Poultry Passport qualification.
- PA1/PA6 certification.
- First Aid qualification.
