Full Fat Social is an independent coffee and wine bar operating in Cardiff Bay. We're a space for connection, conversation, and community. By day, we serve locally roasted coffee and a fresh brunch & lunch menu; by night, we pour great wines and speciality cocktails. We care deeply about what we serve and where it comes from — think ethically sourced beans, natural wines, and sustainability that’s more than just a buzzword.
We're looking for a Duty Manager who thrives in a busy environment and genuinely cares about creating a warm, welcoming space for everyone – no matter where they're from, how they identify, or what they're drinking.
What you'll do:
- Lead, support, and motivate the team throughout each shift, ensuring excellent customer service at all times.
- Prepare consistently high-quality coffee and speciality drinks to a high standard, moving into wine and cocktails each evening.
- Deliver outstanding service on the floor, stepping in wherever needed during busy periods.
- Take responsibility for the smooth day-to-day running of the venue, making confident decisions and resolving issues as they arise.
- Manage opening and closing procedures and daily operational checks.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the venue.
- Support with training, coaching, and developing team members to build a confident and knowledgeable team.
- Help to plan and execute regular events.
What we're looking for:
- Previous experience in a hospitality management or supervisory role.
- Confident barista skills with experience making speciality coffee.
- A positive, hands-on approach and the ability to lead by example.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- The ability to stay calm under pressure and manage a fast-paced service.
- A genuine passion for hospitality, great coffee, and creating memorable customer experiences.
Pay: £13.80 per hour
