An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Economic Development Officer to join our Town Centre Team within Economic Development at Carmarthenshire County Council.
We are looking to recruit enthusiastic, self-motivated; energetic individual with the necessary skills to undertake a wide range of duties to regenerate our town centres, utilising Local Growth Funding under the Council’s corporate policies and priorities.
We are a progressive and professional team who work tirelessly to improve our three primary town centres, Ammanford, Carmarthen and Llanelli.
You will be an excellent communicator and negotiator with a natural empathy in dealing with all kinds of people. You will have experience of delivering projects on time and within budget. Being IT literate, you will have the ability to work independently and to deadlines, as well as having a working knowledge of Economic Development and Regeneration. Above all, we would you to have a can do attitude towards every aspect of the role to get things done.
The Authority offers a great place to live and work offering very diverse and exciting challenges in coastal, urban and rural settings. The ability to travel within the County will be essential.
The roles are in place until March 2027 with the intention to extend until March 2029 pending confirmation of further funding.
